He worked at a securities firm in the late 1980s and served as an economist at a bank-affiliated think tank in the 1990s. He also worked as a management consultant at BCG and in hospital administration. In 1996, he founded CareNet Inc.　Over thirty years of management experience, he took the company public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market and executed a TOB for EQT.
He graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics.
